About Us

Welcome to Madre Gear. My name is Laurie and I am a 34 year old stay at home mom to four great kids and wife to a great guy. We have three sons and a daughter. They are my greatest joy in life and I love being their mom. I am originally from New York City but I have since moved and now live in Rhode Island. I have been checking out the latest baby gear since 1993, when my oldest child was born. There are so many great products on the market now. My sister always says, "What will they think of next?"  I can only image but I love waiting for the next trendy baby item to make its entry onto the scene. I love to have all the hip baby gear and I love to search for products that work for moms and make being a mom a little easier.

I started Madre Gear because I have been knee deep in baby gear for 15 years now and I am consumed with the latest in maternity and baby gear.  I have learned through trial and error what products work and which ones I could do without. When I became pregnant with my third child it seemed as though it was hip to be pregnant and the maternity fashions became much more trendy and moms everywhere rejoiced. We don't have to give up our style when pregnant! I have since been fixated on trendy maternity and baby gear and so I started Madre Gear to house all of the great maternity and baby products in one place. They are my favorites and I love them all. It is my goal to help other moms by assembling all of these great products to choose from in one boutique.
